• An H R generalist with over 28 years’ of industry experience (in Indian Corporates including, erstwhile subsidiary of Brook Bond, a South Korean J V & a Japanese MNC).Presently working as President & Head – Group HR in ABG Group comprising ABG Shipyard Ltd & other group companies ( ABG is the largest shipbuilding company in India in the private sector with an order book of approximately USD 3 billion and has major interests in shipbuilding, shipping, ship repair & refit, offshore rigs & platforms, hydrocarbons, cement, engineering & construction,Mining,Energy,etc).Previously worked as Head of H R-T&B, HED of Larsen & Toubro Ltd and prior to that as Sr.Vice President - Group HR and head, in Welspun Group of Companies.
• With a strong focus on Human Resource Management,experience and area of exposure pertains to the entire gamut of HR, Personnel/IR functions.
• International Speaker Invites: Was invited to the Summit on Human Capital Management as guest & subject matter expert, by University of Chicago in May 2004 at Chicago. Chaired a session, on invitation, at the VIII Annual International Conference organized by Society of Operations Management in association with National Institute of Industrial Engineering, India and College of Administrative Science, University of Alabama in Huntsville, USA, in December 2004. Presented a Company Best Practice on Group Performance Award Scheme at a Gallup International Manufacturing Roundtable, on invitation, at Chicago, USA, in May 2005.Spoke at HR Roundtable, Consulate of Netherlands, 2007 & Singapore HR Summit ,2009 etc.Also Chaired/spoke at the Tabletop panel discussion on Developing and Managing Leadership Pipeline at the SHRM Annual Conference,June 2012 at Atlanta,USA .
• Visiting Faculty/Guest Lectures, at institutes like IIM - Lucknow,TISS, National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE),Simbiosis (SCMHRD), Indian Navy-Bureau of Sailors, IISWBM-Calcutta University, Indian Railway Service,NTPC,BEL,DRDO,etc and CII organized HR forum & Workshops.
• Has been interviewed by print & electronic media for HR practices in organizations worked for and for views on various HR topics/trends & for news coverage on Company Best practice presentation in International Forum etc.Management & HR articles have been published in magazines/journals of repute.
• Member of CII Sub Committee on HR & ER, Western Region, from 2006 till 2012. Was a member for the second consecutive term, in Maharashtra State Council, of Confederation of Indian industries (CII) (Western Region) and Past Member of HRD-IR Committee of Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
• Member of CII Sub Committee on IR for the year 2012 – 2013.
• Received HR Leadership Awards from prestigious Domestic & International forums.(India,Singapore,Sri Lanka & U.K.)
• Member of the Governing /Advisory Council of few AICTE recognized Business Schools.
• Official Mentor for – Mentoring Programme, Middlesex University,U.K.for Masters Degree Programme students of HR.
